About

The story

With roots tracing back to 1727 when the Marta family first cultivated vines in the Douro's Baixo Corgo sub-region, Martha's Wines & Spirits is one of Portugal's oldest family wine enterprises still in operation. Today run by the fifth generation, the house produces an impressively diverse portfolio: elegant Douro DOC still wines, a full range of Ports, the golden Moscatel do Douro (made from Moscatel Galego with vibrant orange notes), and a genuinely exceptional range of Aguardente Vínica — old and very-old brandies aged in Port casks that rival the finest Cognacs in smoothness and complexity. Their Marthinha miniature format and collector-edition bottles add a playful, premium gifting dimension to a portfolio of genuine depth.
