About
The story
Established in 1958 in the far northwest corner of Portugal, the Adega Cooperativa Regional de Monção is the home of Muralhas de Monção — one of the country's most internationally recognised white wines and a textbook expression of Alvarinho from the prestigious Monção e Melgaço sub-region. Producing over 3.5 million bottles of Muralhas annually, the cooperative has turned a small granite-soil enclave on the Minho river into a global brand, earning a coveted Wine Spectator Top 100 place in 2023. Their Deu-La-Deu range reaches into collector territory, with structured Alvarinhos that age magnificently for up to two decades.
